It’s a Dance, Dance Revolution in Prague

Visiting a foreign country can be intimidating, but the one thing everyone in the world can do is dance. Do not worry about how many Kronas you have or how to speak Czech, just get yourself over to one of the hottest night clubs in town and have the time of your life in Prague.

Located near the iconic Charles Bridge, Karlovy Lazne is a five-story dance club offering a different style of music per floor. This is a popular spot in Old Town Square for tourists and students studying abroad. Each floor has a different layout and style of music, such as the discothèque floor playing the best of the 1970’s or the kaleidoscope floor, which focuses on the hits of the 1980’s. There is a staircase running up and down the side of each floor, so if you need a change of music just walk up or down the stairs. There is also at least one bar per floor for all of your hydrating needs. Once you have danced the night away, buy a bottle of water from the bar and head up to the top floor. At the top you will find tables, chairs, cushions and couches meant for relaxing. Soft music and lighting set the mood for wrapping up a night well spent with old and hopefully new friends. Make sure to bring cash; there is a cover charge.

Within walking distance of the Karlovy Lazne is the Double Trouble Bar and Pub, a hot spot hidden inside of a cellar. As you walk between Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square, listen for a mixture of music and conversation resonating from inside the bar. Once inside, you will see gothic, dimly lit interiors with white and dusty red brick lining the walls. Choose an intimate table near the bar or show off your moves on the dance floor. As the night goes on, the place can get extremely busy, so this bar is a good place to start or end your night. There is no cover charge and typically stays open until patrons leave.

If you are still in party mode after Karlovy Lazne and the Double Troule Bar and Pub, do not worry. Prague has some of the best nightlife in all of Eastern Europe. If you are unsure of where to go, just head outside and follow the music to end up at a new and exciting spot.
