The Carmel Market is in the heart of Tel Aviv and draws all different types of shoppers from the young to the old. People come to shop for fresh food including fresh fruit, spices, and homemade hummus. Food is just one of the many products people can buy. Also for sale is clothing, souvenirs, jewelry and shoes. One of the best parts of the market is being able to negotiate. Everything is for sale and everything is negotiable. The market opened back in 1920 and is the biggest market in Tel Aviv.
