Description
Toronto is the largest city in Canada and it lies on the shores of Lake Ontario. This city boasts the tallest tower in the western hemisphere, the CN Tower. You can see across the whole city from the top. Popular museums include The Hockey Hall of Fame and Museum, which has a hockey fan’s dream collection of medals and other memorabilia. The Royal Ontario Museum boasts a new façade that’s rather at odds with the original design of the building and it exhibits international collections of artifacts and art.
There are great shopping areas in the Bloor-Yorkville neighborhood for designer clothes or Queen St. West for the more trendy accessories. The Entertainment district boasts classical theatres and great comedy clubs. The Rogers Center hosts everything from concerts to basketball games with the Toronto Raptors. If you want to see apologetic Canadian sports fans at their best though, check out a Blue Jays game. If you want fierce, devoted fans, go see a Maple Leafs hockey game. Toronto is a diverse city and this can be seen with its varied cuisine. Everything from Middle Eastern, Caribbean, tropical, Chinese, and Japanese dishes can be found in Toronto’s amazing restaurants. There is a never a dull moment in this great city, unless you’re in the financial district after 11pm.
