Description
Costa Rica is a fairly small country, a grand total of 19,530 square miles which hosts around three million inhabitants, most of whom live in the Central Valley. Costa Rica is a country in Central America and a paradise for visitors. Come enjoy the surfing on clear blue waters, hiking on mountains and volcanoes, and snorkeling in the deep ocean. Zip on canopy lines and see the beautiful nature, and the many volcanoes that Costa Rica has to offer, including the active Arenal volcano. Relax on the white, sandy beaches or at the many newly built resorts. Jews have been in Costa Rica since the 16th century. Today there is still a small Jewish community in Costa Rica, mainly in the capital of San Jose. There are a few synagogues and the Zionist Israeli center (orthodox), which accommodates Jewish visitors and residents alike.
