Description
Haifa, built on Mount Carmel, is the third largest city in Israel, one of its major seaports, and is fascinating for the fact that it is one of the few places in Israel where Arabs and Jews live together in peace. It also plays host to the high-tech industry. Come visit the Baha’i Gardens, a beautiful greenery looked after by the Baha’i World Centre. Visit the many museums that the city has to offer such as the Israel National Museum of Science, Technology, and Space and the Haifa Museum of Art. Haifa houses two acclaimed academic institutions, the University of Haifa and the Technion. The city is also a great location to stay at while visiting Akko, Safed, and Caesarea during the day. Haifa has been around for thousands of years and has been ruled by many empires throughout history. One of the religious sites to visit is Elijah’s cave, where the prophet found refuge.
