Description

Jerusalem is the declared capital of Israel and is one of the holiest sites of the three major monotheistic faiths of the world. Come pray at the Western Wall, one of the holiest places for Jews; walk through the mazelike streets of the Old City where the stones beneath your feet have been treaded upon for thousands of years; stroll through the different neighborhoods that each are home to a different ethnicity. Go shopping in the neighborhood of Ben Yehuda where shopkeepers sell everything you could ever want. Visit Temple Mount and Yad Vashem, the Holocaust memorial and museum of Israel. In this over 3000 year old city there is never a dull moment. Jerusalem has been one of the most important cities in Jewish history. It has been home to the First and Second Temples and has been mentioned in the Bible many times as a holy place.
