Description

Italy has one of the richest tapestries of history in the world. The Roman Empire, and the Renaissance, which brought about a new change in the course of European art and politics, all make up what Italy is today. Visit the historical landmarks like the Pantheon and the Colosseum. Dine in the many cafes and restaurants to enjoy true Italian cuisine. For shopping, visit Milan, one of the worlds fashion capitals for the most up to date and trendy styles. No matter where you go in Italy, the country will shock and astound you. Jews have been living in Rome for at least 2000 years. Italian Jews can be traced back as far as the second century BCE. In 1904, the Great Synagogue of Rome was finished on the banks of the Tiber River overlooking the former Jewish ghetto. There is currently a small Jewish population still living in Italy today, and many still use the Great Synagogue of Rome.
