Description
The Netherlands is a small country that is mostly flat, has a lot of land below sea level, has three rivers, and is very windy. There are cultural differences between parts of the country because of the rivers division. Make sure to visit Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Utrecht City. Visit the many pubs and cafes for delicious beers and pastries. Take advantage of the nightlife, which is unlike anything else. The incredible views of the coast, skylines, chain of islands, and just about everything else can be enjoyed without having to climb any mountains or hills. The Jews have a long history in the Netherlands. Most early Jews were Sephardic and settled around 1593. Ashkenazi Jews later settled and contributed to the economy through trading and diamond-cutting. Esnoga, built in 1675, is a famous synagogue still in use today.
