Moscow is the capital of Russia, the most populous city in Europe, and one of the most expensive cities in the world. Jews have been living in Russia for over a thousand years and have been living in Moscow for hundreds. While life was not completely easy living there and the religious community was deteriorating, there has been a reemergence today in all of Russia and especially in Moscow. Chabad has been helping the community reconnect with its roots, and there are even a couple of kosher restaurants and synagogues in the city for residents and visitors to enjoy.
