As one of the most visited cities in the world, San Francisco is a hot spot for any traveler and it's become a hub city for cheap flights across the U.S. as far as Hawaii and north to Canada and Alaska. San Francisco is known for its vibrant and eclectic culture, winding roads, and colorful architecture. It's known around the world as a hub for gay culture. A straight woman there has about 75% less game than she has anywhere else. Food is multiethnic and it can be had cheaply.
San Francisco is also home to some of the world's largest technology companies, such as Google, Facebook and LinkedIn. If you're not there exclusively as a technology buff, you can visit the Golden Gate Bridge, see the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra or catch a few fly balls at a Giants game. With over 40 neighborhoods you will experience something new around every corner. Whether you are going to San Francisco to visit your Stanford friend in Palo Alto, to eat really good Asian food or to see if you can bike up those steeply inclined streets that keep everyone's legs in great shape, you'll have a great time.
