Sometimes when we wake in the morning, we splash some water on our faces and do a quick pit check.

You know what a pit check is? It’s the briefest sniff of our underarms to see what sort of stank we are dealing with. This, friends, is how 90% of male population decides whether or not to shower.

Judging from Bar Refaeli’s recent photo shoot for Especially Escada perfume, if the supermodel ever did a pit check, roses would begin to grow. Seriously, they would grow everywhere. We’re talking hedges around the bathtub, pedals in the toilet, thorns on the seat.

Ouch.

Bar has been saying a lot of things about smells and stuff in the interviews we half-read as we look at the pictures, which leads us to wonder, does being super hot make you smell super good naturally? Is this some sort of biological advantage that evolution gives you? On the flip side, do ugly people smell really that bad? As a warning or something? Dudes, would you date a hottie who smelled like a dump truck?

Yes, this is what we think about all day long.

“For a model, the biggest thing is to get a perfume deal. And when I heard they wanted me to do it for a few years, I was like, ‘Wow, finally!’ I’m really excited about it,” Bar told People Magazine. “I like to have my smell, so when I’m around, people notice me and my smell and it comes together, almost like a second skin.”

Bar, we can smell you through your pictures. Or maybe that’s just from the blunt-force trauma of jamming our noses up against our computer screens. Come on, Apple. Where's the iSmell at? We're waiting.
