Women flock to Jason Segel. Well, at least, YouTube women do. Remember the battle of the YouTube ballads back in January? Well, not every female will fawn over “The Five-Year Engagement” star.

In an appearance on Jimmy Fallon last week, Segel confessed to receiving some pretty official mail. “Everyone always asks me … ‘Who is the mother?’” Segel said. “Because it’s been almost eight years ‘How I Met Your Mother.’”

“Every time on the red carpet when they ask who the mother is going to be, I always say Hillary Clinton, just as a joke. And then I got a letter in the mail, and it was like, ‘I appreciate your request, but I must say I’m very busy doing politics. But if the opportunity ever arises, I’d be happy to do something together.’ –Hillary Clinton.”

Segel laughed and shrugged, “I got a rejection letter from Hillary Clinton.”

And now we have proof. Politico obtained a copy of the rejection letter, and it seems the former First Lady is quite witty in her firm “no.”

“I was delighted to read about your interest in sharing the big screen with me. As you can imagine, I am a little occupied at the moment, but perhaps someday I can help you forget Sarah Marshall … again.”

“My only condition is that there be Muppets involved, and that is non-negotiable. In the meantime, you have my best wishes for continued success with your career.”
