“You racist” is only a considered a compliment when said to Mel Gibson. Director Lee Daniels did not appear to relish being called a racist by producer Avi Lerner on the set of “The Paperboy” on Sunday, going all strong and silent.
The knock-down, all out battle over racism, disrespect and scuba divers (don’t ask, most of it is inaudible) was caught by TMZ on what appears to be a cell phone camera.
The take away appears to be that the film, starring Zac Efron and Nicole Kidman is way over budget. Why were scuba divers necessary? Difficult to say. But representatives have assured TMZ that the two kissed and made up shortly after the video ends.
J-Connection: Avi Lerner is an American-Israeli Jew. Zac Efron is Jewish through his paternal grandfather, and his last name means lark in Hebrew.
