Netanyahu Rips Abbas Over Al-Aksa Destruction Claims

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned a speech by Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in which Abbas said that Israel was planning to destroy the Al Aksa Mosque. Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal said they turned a "new page" in Palestinian unity after meeting in Cairo. Israel sent a letter to the United Nations Thursday slamming Palestinian President Mahmous Abbas for failing to condemn Wednesday's rocket fire from the Gaza Strip.
