Having one of the NBA's two Jewish players on the roster seemed like a natural fit for the Brooklyn Nets' first season in their new home at the Barclays Center after 35 years in New Jersey. Nets management, however, apparently had other ideas. The Nets reached an agreement Monday night to trade five players and a draft pick to the Atlanta Hawks for guard Joe Johnson. Biden Places Right to Strike Iran in Israel's Hands

Vice President Joe Biden reaffirmed President Barack Obama’s commitment to Israel, during an address to the Rabbinical Assembly of the Conservative movement. In the speech, the VP assured guests that the Jewish state did not need US permission to devise a military attack.
