A new report published by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development found that Israel has the fifth-highest life expectancy amongst surveyed countries at 81.6 years. Japan had the highest life expectancy when the data was collected in 2009, coming in at 83 years. The average for OECD countries was 79.5.
