Israeli Team Performs Rare Conjoined Twins Separation

An Israeli medical team successfully separated a pair of conjoined twins Wednesday, the first surgery of its kind in the Jewish state. The incredibly rare operation took four hours to complete, after which one of the twins was said to be in critical condition. Israeli Soldiers Aid Wounded Syrians on Border

Israeli soldiers provided medical care to four wounded Syrians on the Golan Heights border. The Syrians approached the border Wednesday and were treated near the fence, the Israel Defense Forces said in a statement. Two of the Syrians were taken to Israeli hospitals because of to the severity of their injuries. They will be returned to Syria after their treatment. 34 Hospitalized, 1 Dead in Tel Aviv Half-Marathon

With the full Tel Aviv marathon postponed thanks to a Mediterranean heat wave that had local temperatures reaching 95 degrees Fahrenheit by 8 a.m., only half-marathon runners took to the streets this morning to participate in the annual event. But the heat was so intense that at least 34 runners have been hospitalized and one man has died.
