This weekend, Seth Rogen's apocalyptic comedy came in number two at the box office, earning a very nice $32.8 million, second only to "Man of Steel." The film, which stars a bevy of celebrities (Rogen, James Franco, Jay Baruchel, Jonah Hill, Craig Robinson and Danny McBride) playing factionalized versions of themselves as they brave the end of the world during a party at Franco's house. Seth Rogen made some time in what was undoubtedly a busy weekend to speak with Entertainment Weekly about the film. Here are …More

What does a son get for the father who has everything? Why, a musical tribute, of course. Erstwhile Hassidic musician Matisyahu posted a video to his You Tube account recently, showcasing his young son singing a cover of the Matisyahu classic, “Live Like a Warrior.” Fortunately we’re familiar enough with the song to know the lyrics, as the little boy, Shalom, isn’t altogether articulate. But the performance is cute and sweet nonetheless. And it looks like the YouTube community agrees. …More

This is just brilliant. "Girls" is one of those pop-cultural centerpieces that simply everyone has an opinion on. It's been talked about, tweeted about and blogged about to death. There have been multiple parodies, from "Boys" to the upcoming porn parody (which creator Lena Dunham is surprisingly unhappy about). The latest "Girls" parody comes from Gail Lerner and gives us a glimpse of what the show would look like in it's 38th season. It's hilarious. Hannah (Laraine Newman) is still clueless about men and …More

American Apparel Launches 'Hassid' Nail Polish

American Apparel is playing homage to Judaism's ultra Orthodox community, in the form of a new nail polish color. The clothing store has put out a bottle of black nail laquer, dubbed "Hassid." AA founder Dov Charney is Jewish himself, so we're hoping this was meant as a positive tip of the hat, not mockery. The name seemingly draws on the Hassidic community's preference for predominately black clothing. The polish is currently on sale, and can be ordered on Amazon for $6 a pop. American Apparel has made …More

James Franco Cozies Up with Spider-Man

You remember the last “Spider-Man” franchise, of course? Before Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone turned their on-screen chemistry into a relationship (or was it the other way around?), before Jamie Foxx became Electro, before Tobey Maguire became irrelevant (his painful performance in “The Great Gatsby” notwithstanding), there were Sam Raimi's “Spider-Man” films, which capitalized on the early 2000's increasing obsession with superhero films (“X-Men” really got the …More

Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg Talk to Marc Maron About Canadian Jews

Seth Rogen is a household name these days, but the man he wrote “Superbad” with is not. Evan Goldberg and Rogen grew up together, two Jews in the mostly-goy Canada, and they've turned their awkward adolescent experience (and its lingering effects on their adult lives) into incredibly successful careers. They recently were guests on Marc Maron's WTF podcast, and spoke quite a bit about their Jewish roots while promoting their new film, "This is the End." There are several delightfully Jewy bits from …More

As the new guest headliner for the legendary Chippendales male revue show this month, Ziering will perform in the signature black bow tie and white cuffs, and very little else. Move over, Mac Miller. Step aside, Drake. There's a new Jewish rapper in the game. Well, "new" is a relative term when it's applied to someone as old as Jerry Lewis. Yes, at the age of 87 the legend has proved that he has some flow stored up in his ancient bones. While shooting the new film "Max Rose," Lewis somehow became embroiled in a rap battle with former "America's Got Talent" contestant Chris La Vrar. La Vrar isn't in the movie, so it's not exactly clear why he was on set or why he started rapping, though …More

Wondering what the latest news is on Crazy Hot Mess Amanda Bynes?
