Jesse Eisenberg Goes Postal on Innocent Interviewer

For most celebrity actors, the actual acting part of their job is the thing they spend the least time doing. Sure, they may spend several weeks of months shooting a film, but they spend a lot more time promoting it. There's the magazine spreads, the red carpet premieres, the morning show interviews and, of course, the dreaded press junket. For those not in the know, a press junket is a time when a movie's cast is sat down and interviewed over and over by different media outlets. It's got to be tedious and …More

Jesse Eisenberg Works His Way Up Broadway

Most Hollywood stars who try to branch out artistically are met with lukewarm praise from an industry and audience who already love them. Please see Julia Robert's 2006 Broadway debut for further details on this notion. Nevertheless, Jesse Eisenberg works to prove that acting on the big screen, and receiving an Oscar nod while he’s at it, is far from the limits of what he is capable of. In his second go-ahead at writing and staring in an Off-Broadway play, Eisenberg receives praise from critics and peers …More

Silicon Valley Not Receptive to New Reality Series

Silicon Valley will join the likes of New Jersey and Beverley Hills, with a new reality show aimed at profiling the town’s tech reputation. The series, tentatively titled “Silicon Valley,” is set to air this winter. However, some of the Valley's inhabitants are displeased with the idea and have expressed concerns over whether the show, which will reportedly feature a work-hard party-harder cast, will hurt the work that is being done in the area. “Yuck, please stay in LA,” tweeted …More

Jesse Eisenberg is having one dramatic year. First he was nominated for a Drama League Award for his Rattlestick Playwrights Theater production, “Asuncion,” which he wrote and starred in. Now it’s been announced that his latest drama “The Revisionist” will be highlighted in the 2012-2013 Rattlestick Playwrights Theater season in New York. The play revolves …More

Remember ten years ago? The country was still reeling from the attacks of September 11. With its innocence gone, New York City was in search of a hero to bank its hopes on. In May of 2002 the search was over, as the country fell in love with Peter Parker and his alter ego, Spiderman. As the first film to smash the 100 million dollar mark for a weekend opening, Director Sam Raimi’s blockbuster took Tobey Maguire out of “Pleasantville” and into spandex, giving America its first taste of the Common …More

“Someone should ask me what’s so f**ked up. I’d have one or two words to say about that.” “So what’s so f**ked up, in one or two words?” “Everything.” Quarter-life comedy “Free Samples” unequivocally defines itself as an indie film from the very first shot. Two girls and two boys sit at a bar, cupping glasses and vacantly starring ahead while complaining about the beer, the music and the general direction of their lives. Jess Weixler carries …More

Jesse Eisenberg Plays Mark Zuckerberg...Again

Jesse Eisenberg is set to play Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg onscreen. Sound familiar? No, it’s not “The Social Network 2: MySpace Strikes Back,” though that would be pretty awesome to see. Jesse will instead be reprising his role as everyone’s favorite boy-billionaire for a new television series from Aaron Sorkin. “The Newsroom” is set to star Jeff Daniels as a fictional news anchor who goes off the grid. Premiering on April 24, the first episode will include a short …More

The trailer for Woody Allen’s new film “To Rome With Love” has just been released, and it sure put us in the mood for some spaghetti. While fans of the neurotic New Yorker probably could have written out the various cuts of the preview in their sleep- dry joke here and a stunning skyline there, mixed with a gratuitous few seconds of Woody espousing his own intelligence, and all of it set to a vaguely Gershwin tune- we’re just glad to see he’s up to his old tricks. The film is …More

Jesse Eisenberg Says Jeremy Lin is His Jewish Hero!

Who knew Jesse Eisenberg was such a Knicks fan? And that Jeremy Lin was secretly Jewish? Say what?! The nebbish actor gave his own take on the Linsanity phenomenon, penning a hilarious (and very fictional) essay for McSweeney’s, entitled, “Jeremy Lin Has Helped Me Through Some Pretty Tough Times.” Eisenberg concludes his piece with this: “Finally, Jeremy Lin has given me hope as a young Jewish athlete from the suburbs of New Jersey. Although he has recently come out as Taiwanese American …More

Eisenberg’s Sage Thoughts on Acting Will Change Your Life

Because acting does excite him. It’s a delicious little orgasm for him to prance about on stage and screen. Never mind that he always plays the …More
