As President Obama’s trip to Israel approaches, supermodel Bar Refaeli has added her name to the 155,000 signatures on a petition supporting the release of Jonathan Pollard. Pollard is currently serving his 28th year in a United States prison for selling top-secret information to Israel when serving as a US Naval intelligence analyst. Obama in Interview: 'Israel a Fundamental Right for the Jewish People'

President Barack Obama was interviewed by Israel’s Channel 2 news network in the days leading up to his trek to the Jewish state next week. Channel 2 aired the interview today, for a sit down covering topics like the two state solution and how the US plans to disengage a potentially nuclear Iran. “We think that it would take over a year or so for Iran to actually develop a nuclear weapon, but obviously we don’t want to cut it too close,” the president said. “So when I am consulting …More

Declassified CIA Assessment: Pollard Collaborated with US in ‘Good Faith’

CIA debriefers of Jonathan Pollard said the Israeli spy cooperated "in good faith" while in custody and that his handlers' requests were limited to intelligence on the Pakistanis, Arab states and the Soviets. The 1987 CIA damage assessment, published for the first time in a newly declassified version by the National Security Archive, a George Washington University project, recorded Pollard as "responding in good faith to debriefers' questions." Polygraphs "tended to confirm that his cooperation with US …More
