Over 600 officers, including riot police with surveillance balloons and a helicopter were used to secure a match at Sakhnin's Doha Stadium as Saknin and Beitar Jerusalem faced off. Basketball Legend Howie Lassoff Passes Away

Jewish American basketball legend Howie Lassoff died Thursday, at the age of 57, after losing his battle with cancer. Lassoff was a national hero in Israel, where he played pro-ball for a total of 15 years, including serving Israel’s National team as starting center from 1982-1991.
