Sacha Baron Cohen’s Interesting New Movie Projects

He’s been a dictator, a network correspondent, a wannabe gangsta, and a fashionista. Now Sacha Baron Cohen is prepping to be the king of Queen while he produces “The Lesbian.” Buckle up, SBC fans. Baron Cohen has also signed on to play the late Freddie Mercury in the new biopic about Queen’s legendary frontman. Filming is slated to begin in Spring 2013 with a release date set for early 2014. Friday was awash in the news that Adam Lambert was named the new frontman for Queen. Turns out the Daily Star forgot to check their facts, and even Rolling Stone believed them. While Lambert is in talks to perform with Queen again, nothing has been said about him joining the band on a permanent basis. Acclaimed producer Graham King has confirmed that his long-awaited Freddie Mercury biopic is on tap for 2012, with Sacha Baron Cohen in the title role.
