Gigantic Israeli Pepper Earns Guinness World Record Nod

A massive green pepper grown in Israel has earned its place in the Guinness Book of World Records. The pepper, dubbed Godzilla by the moshav’s children, is over twice the size of average peppers and weighs more than one pound. The workers at Yofi Shel Yerakot, the produce farm for Moshav Ein Yahav, noticed the gigantic green pepper when it would not fit through the company’s sorting machine. A 10-year-old Orthodox weightlifter from New Jersey has garnered global media attention, after being dubbed the strongest girl in the world. Naomi Kutin, who will start the sixth grade at the end of summer, set the new world record in January for the 97-pound division raw squat, lifting 214.9 pounds at a competition in Texas.
