Rocket Fired During Obama's Trip Discovered in Israeli Pre-School

Pre-school teachers in Sderot discovered today that one of the Kassam rockets fired at southern Israel during President Obama's visit to Israel landed in a local preschool facility. Staff returning to the preschool building after the two-week long Passover vacation discovered that the partially exploded rocket fired March 21 had crashed through the roof and remained in the building, which usually houses three-year olds, Ynet reported. Sderot and Environs Get $59 Million in Government Benefits for 2012

Israel's Cabinet approved nearly $59 million worth of economic benefits for the southern city of Sderot and the area adjacent to the Gaza Strip. The assistance for 2012, approved on Sunday, is designed to strengthen the local economy, assist and support residents in light of the security situation, and boost employment in the area, according to a statement released by the Prime Minister's Office.
