Brooklyn College Provost Cleared of Anti-Semitic Accusations

An investigation into a Brooklyn College provost was put to rest, after officials determined William Tramontano did not purposely block promotions for Orthodox Jewish staff. Last month, Tramontano’s name made headlines after politicians and educators sent letters to a City University of New York chaplain, complaining that the provost was preventing the hiring and promotion of Jewish staff. Brooklyn College Head Accused of Anti-Semitic Hiring

The academic head of Brooklyn College is facing a firestorm following accusations of anti-Semitic hiring practices. Numerous politicians, as well as a New York assemblyman, sent letters to the chancellor of City University of New York (CUNY), the school system Brooklyn College falls under.
